STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN CELEBRATE WORLD BEARD DAY IN TRUE STYLE

by Fran O'Reilly September 04, 2017

The location was Stockholm, Sweden, where hundreds, if not thousands of dapper bearded gentlemen gathered to celebrate 'World Beard Day' in true furry faced style, searching for the best facial hair and best barbers in attendance.

The event took place to crown 'battle of the Barbers' and 'Best Styled Beard' to name just a few categories taking place during the three day event, which seen beardsmen take titles and prizes for best in show, that were hand selected by an independent international panel of judges.

Four of Sweden's finest barbers were put to the ultimate test on how to style and tame the biggest and busiest of beards in just under a strict 45 minute schedule timed clock, and all for the love of our beloved furry faces.

The competiton isn't exclusively for men either, as they're also selected set categories where the lovely ladies can participate and become creative with their homemade face rugs.

This isn't the first time that this event has taken place either, as the competition runs every two years and seems to be continuously keep growing in popularity with each and event, and rightfully so. Many similar events take place globally each year, from Texas, New York as well as London, England, beard competition popularity is certainly on the rise.

The event runs over three days in total and includes live on stage entertainment, food and drink vendors and family friendly activities and attractions amongst the fuzzy face events.

So, how did you spend your 'World Beard Day'? Hopefully amongst the company of like-minded bearded fellows. Mine? I visited Nottingham and met with my BVUK Brothers to celebrate in true beardy style with my extended family. It was a great turnout and an all round awesome day, same time next year fellas?

Whatever you did this past weekend I hope it was a memorable one, and as always please be sure to take just a few moments to leave us any thoughts and feedback you might have in the comments section you'll find kindly provided below.

And until next time, Beard on Brothers, Beard on...

A woman’s attraction to her counterpart is a direct reflection of her expectations on that person. Whether it is a casual fling, a uncommitted or committed relationship, a woman is going to make the best decision she can based off of her perceived impression or intentions of that man based on their appearance.
