3. KEEPING YOUR BEARD CLEAN IS KEY, BUT DO NOT OVERWASH IT! Over washing will wash out your beards naturally formed essential oils which can cause hair weakness and dry out your beard and face, causing you future problems such as 'beardruff' and other nasties. I would suggest you wash your beard no more than twice a week, giving your beard a much needed break from shampoos and any other cleaning products you may already be using in the shower.
4. COMBING YOUR BEARD IS GOOD, BUT DO NOT OVER COMB!There is a fine line when it comes to combing your beard, as it is absolute key to keeping your beard in great shape and should be an essential part of a bearding mans grooming regime. But if you over comb, or more importantly comb the beard with an incorrect brush/comb you are more than likely going to cause unwanted damage to your beloved beard, which would most certainly lead to split ends and dead hairs. I usually brush/comb my beard between three to four times a day. First being in the morning as I wash and prepare for the day ahead. Second being around the midday mark to tame the beard back into place with a touch of 'TBS' balm or oil. Then finally later on in the evening. I'd suggest you use a wide tooth comb to narrow your chances of beard snagging or pulling. We also stock the prefect 'TBS' beard comb that I use for day to day use that you can find on our online store.
