DO 'BEARD BOOSTING' PILLS ACTUALLY WORK?

by Fran O'Reilly October 28, 2016

After a simple Google search I was inundated with 'Beard Boosting' pills and supplements, many of which promised I would 'become the envy of my friends' by popping a couple of capsules each day. The first question that springs to mind is what is inside these pills? According to the products description they're packed will 100% natural, yet 'secret' ingredients. The use of the word 'secret' causes a little concern, after all we are expected to ingest such products, so at the very least I'd like to know what I'm swallowing before doing so.

After a little further investigating it appears they are filled with with vitamin known as biotin. Biotin can be naturally sourced from certain foods, such as liver, egg yolk, yeast and glucose. It is believed that biotin helps promote hair growth in general, and not just beards. Although it is rare, if our bodies have a severe deficiency of the said vitamin it can result in brittle nails, weaker hair and even hair loss.

But does taking such supplements play any role in your beards success? If customer reviews are anything to go by, then yes. Although I'd still tread extra careful when choosing to use 'beard boosting' pills. Firstly, make sure you're 100% on what 'secret' ingredients are before you ingest them. This is not a new aftershave or shampoo, this is something you're willingly swallowing into your digestive system. Not only that, but the price tag on such pills doesn't come at all cheap. If you have already decided to give them a go, I'd suggest you visit your local health store and purchase 100% natural biotin capsules, as this way you are fully in control of what goes inside of your body without the chance of consuming any hidden ingredients you're unaware of.

Would I ever consider using 'beard boosting' pills? Personally, no. I choose the method of maintaining a healthy routine using our 'TBS' range. The reason being is I fully believe that our tonic and balms are of the highest premium quality available to man. I've been using their balms and oils long before I began blogging for 'The Beard Struggle', and have always trusted their ever evolving range of products.

Well, that wraps things up for today folks! As always feel free to leave us your thoughts, comments and questions in the box you'll find provided below.

And until next time, Beard on Brothers, Beard on...

A woman’s attraction to her counterpart is a direct reflection of her expectations on that person. Whether it is a casual fling, a uncommitted or committed relationship, a woman is going to make the best decision she can based off of her perceived impression or intentions of that man based on their appearance. Ultimately, in a world where a woman has to base her needs on first impressions, just like a job interview, your beard, or lack of beard, may be applying for her next conquest.
