The media often like to slander and poke fun, yet false reasons as to why we shouldn't grow out our facial fluff. Well, how about a short list as to why we should? This list was by no means easy to shake down to just five points. But here's just five reasons why growing a beard is good!

1. Beards could reduce the risk of allergies and even asthma!

I did mention something similar a short while ago in a previous post, but it is in fact true! Growing our your facial forest can reduce the signs and symptoms of allergies and asthma! How i hear you ask? It's a simple process really. Your beard simply catches most of the nasties that are floating around in the air and stores them, until they gradually dust away rendering themselves pretty much useless. A lot like a filter in a vacuum cleaner, if you will. So, next time your better half gives you a telling off for not helping about the house, tell them to worry not, as your filter beard has it covered!

2. Beards keep you warm.

This might seem like an obvious pointer. But beards do keep our faces much warmer in these frosty winter months. In the same way the hair on your head does, your beard acts as a form of insulation locking in your body heat to help keep you warm.

3. Bearded gents are considered by many to be more masculine.

Whilst our clean shaven Brothers/Sisters might argue otherwise, it is said that bearded men are perceived to be much more masculine compared to a clean shaven male. A study was conducted and published in the 'Evolution In Human Behaviour' which came to such a conclusion. So naked faces lose once more.

4. Growing out a beard gifts you more free time.

Yep, you read right. Letting that wonderful beard you so proudly sport grow out actually frees up a fare amount of free time. Let's just put this into perspective. Your average clean shaven man will waste around 4,500+ hours in his lifetime shaving. Yeah, Just think about that for a second. That's around 145 days! Which is almost 21 weeks! Which is over 4 months!!

5. Bearded men are considered to have more patience.

It is said to be believed that a bearded fellow shows he has patience. The method in this train of thought being a beard doesn't happen over night. It takes time, care and patience. Meaning we're not hasty nor rush into situations when it comes to decision making.

So, there you have it! If you needed any more reasons to continue growing a beard there's five for you right there! And just like our beards this list could have gone on forever, and rightfully so!

And until next time, Beard on Brothers. Beard on...

A woman’s attraction to her counterpart is a direct reflection of her expectations on that person. Whether it is a casual fling, a uncommitted or committed relationship, a woman is going to make the best decision she can based off of her perceived impression or intentions of that man based on their appearance.
