Another Monday morning is upon us, and with a brand new day comes a brand new 'The Beard Struggle' blog post. Today I want to dive right back into my big bag of tricks and provide you with 4 Top Tricks To Help Maintain A Truly Epic Beard...
One of the biggest misconceptions that I come across most often is when a new beardsmen thinks his beard is 'too new'and 'too short'to need to be taken care of, and in all honesty this couldn't be further away from the truth.
It is never too soon to practice a great grooming routine. Even the youngest of facial hair will benefit from beard care products, such as oils, balms and washes. So even if your newfound face fluff is nothing more than a little light stubble find the habit of taking a little time to brush, oil and care for your fuzz. In doing so you'll soon notice just how beneficial doing so will be, as your face whiskers will become thicker, tougher and all round healthier in comparison to how it would be without.
Here is another obvious pointer, but you would be surprised how often I encounter people who are new to growing out the fuzz as things are starting to take shape, then the next time I see them they look sad and glum and have a shaven face once again.
The reason most do this is because they try to trim down there whiskers too soon, which often gives a rather unbalanced appearance, which then leaves the beholder with little choice other than to shave away their hard work and start over from square one again.
My best tip of advice here is to let that fuzzy face of yours grow. Even if you have a desired shape and style in mind that you are hoping to achieve, give it time to thicken out and take shape. Then visit a trusty professional beard barber who can be entrusted to shape and style your face fluff exactly how you wish for it to be.
Don't fall into the trap of feeling a little scruffy and trimming away at it too soon, this almost always ends in tears, trust me. been there, done that. (still hurts!)
STAY COMMITTED TO YOUR OWN BEARDED JOURNEY!
When you are following a beard care routine it is real important to stick with it and not skip a day here or there. I know that might sound a little ridiculous, but skipping a day or two of caring for your face fuzz will soon begin to become apparent, as dry troublesome pots will begin to appear.
And a dry beard soon becomes a problematic one, as your whiskers will become weak and brittle to the touch, not to mention every beardsmens cryptonite, the dreaded 'Beard-druff!'
So, be sure to take a little time out each and every morning, as well as evenings if needed, to take jolly good care of your facial fuzz. Both you and your beard won't regret doing so.
BE PROUD OF WHAT YOU HAVE GOT, AND FLAUNT IT IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE!
Once you've got an impressive bit of growth to call your very own beard, you should be flaunting the sh*t out of it at every given opportunity. After all, not everyone is epic enough to proudly sport such a marvelous furry face forest like yours, so show the world what you got and wear it proudly my Brother!
